Rivalry Week

Every year we go see the most adorable Santa with an out door sleigh. It only goes on the saturday after Thanksgiving. Which happens to fall on the UTAH vs. B.Y.U game every year. This year we had tickets to see the game. We were going to be short on time so we( my little family) all got dressed in our Utah gear and took pictures with Santa, then rushed off to the game. We had 6 tickets total and My sister in law was so kind to give up her ticket so my dad could go. She even watched Cali for me which was a very long time. Thank you Laura. Guess my dad really lucked out that she is not as much into football. We had a equal balance. 3 Utah fans and 3 B.Y.U fans. Lucky for us the tickets were on the Utah fan side.

Keeping with tradition we met everyone who was going to the game at Burger Supreme in Provo and then walked over to the game. Reuben and Sara and my Dad and Lori were all in town so we all met for lunch there.

Alan sprayed Jacob and my other nephew Sean's hair blue.

We walked around all the pre game stuff and the bous did the football toss.

And even though we ultimatley lost it was a super close and exciting game. We all remained friends and look forward to next years game. When I got home and found out that Max Hall (B.Y.U 's Q.B.) Hates me and thinks I am classless. He "hates everything about the University of Utah". Although I took offense at first I only have to laugh now. I laugh because his words after the game will forever be rememberd and even with his sorry, forced appology, he will never live down those words. Thanks Max for what you said. It gives me a good chuckle everytime I think about it. I now have a T-shirt that says "Max Hall hates me too. LOL.

FOOTBALL-GO BENGALS!!

Well if you really want to know why we are so busy all the time it's football. Andrew joined The Brighton Ute Gremlins this year. It all started in July and goes thru October maybe Nov. if they make the playoffs. I have to say I was very nervous about the whole football commitment at 8 years old. I have to say though that it has been a wonderful experience. Andrew was lucky enough to be selected to play with the best coaches and team a mom could ask for. They have a lot of fun together. Although intense and hectic at times we are loving it. Andrew plays hard and is having a blast learning what teams are all about. We have practice 3 times a week. Then games on saturday We have awesome coaches, team moms, kids and parents. Andrew plays with 8-9 and some 10 year olds. He is one of the youngest on the team but has a lot of heart. He has been playing tight end. He has learned so much already. He is #93. There truly is nothing better than seeing your child happy and working hard and excelling in so many ways.. We are so proud of you Andrew boy! Oh and you look awesome in that uniform!

One of the team dads arranged an awesome meeting with some of the Utah Ute football players. One of them being Louie Sakoda (last years kicker). These kids were over the moon to meet these guys and get they're autographs. What a once in a lifetime experience for them. Here are some pictures of that...

Summer = Swim

Summer for us sure = swimming. Lots of swimming. We do swim lessons for the kids every year at my inlaws house. It is so awesomje and convenient accept there is no bathroom close by. Other than that issue it is so nice to have a private pool to have lessons. A nice girl Craig gre up with named Michelle and her assistant Miriam, works with them every summer. It has made a huge difference in there swimming ability. Because of Michelle we were able to get Andrew started with Pre comp swim team. We are trying a new club called cottonwood heights this summer and so far it has been much better. On 1 day a week Michelle works with him on perfecting his strokes and 2 days a week he practices at the outdoor club pool. This pool is my inlaws....

This is Andrew at practice doing pushups and warming up foranother day of swim practice.

This is Andrew swimming at his most recent swim meet. He swam 3 heats. 25yrd Butterfly, 25 yrd Breast strok and 25 yrd free style. He got first place in all three heats. Way to go Andrew! We are so proud of you. You are awesome!

The next sport we have lined up for him is tackle football. Mom is not ready for this but dad has been planning it since he was born. I hope he is ready for that because I sure am not!

Andrew makes Pre-comp swim team

Well all those swim lessons over the past 4 years have really paid off. Andrew tried out for the pre-comp swim team at dimple dell rec center. He was so very happy to make it. He swam really well and we are so proud of him. After Andrew watched a lot of Miachael Phelps and some of the other great USA swimmers at the olympics, he really had a desire to compete in swimming. Her are some pictures of that day...

The practice schedule isn't so easy though. He practices 1 hour on Monday and wednesday and then an 1&1/2 on Saturday mornings. He will be in great shape though. Great job Andrew!

I am so proud of him. He can't wait to win a race. Anyhow here are some great pictures of the night at Rad canyon, thanks to Grandpa who took them...

Andrew starts Coach pitch May 1,2008

After a cold spring the kids finally got to play a game last night. Both coaches(craig and Brian Rank) were not there and to my surprise It was picture day! So as the team mom I had to step in and be in the photo. How embarrasing. Needless to say It was fun to be part of the team. The kids had fun and played a great game.
