Halloween Fun

Last week was a busy week for Halloween stuff. We took the kids to the pumkin patch. It was a beautiful day to pick a pumpkin.

Then we also had the Neighborhood Halloween party. The kids had a blast and of course were filled with sugar. Here are some pictures of their costumes this year..

Response to comments about a Match made in heaven

Wow I am surprised that most of you are kind of against the whole kids and pets idea. We always had pets when I was growing up. I've just always thought pets are so good for kids. My kids are very happy and I couldn't be happier to see the joy it brings to them. I guess when all your kids want to play with a pet they will have to come visit us :) Plus pets are easier for me than to have more kids.

A Match Made in Heaven

On Friday Craig and I and Cali decided to go to lunch at Chili's. We needed to get some dog food after at the petco in the same parking lot. What happend? We ended up bringing home a cat. Her name is Alice. She is 1 years old. She is a tabby. She recently had kittens who had all been adopted. She has since been fixed (as they say) and had all her shots. We went to her cage to say hello and just fell in love with her. We knew Cali would need a cat one day. She is so thrilled. The cat is very tolerant of her too. Wow we are turning into the zoo at our house.

Moab U.E.A Weekend

Every Year on U.E.A weekend we try to go somewhere fun. This year we went to Moab with Alan and Laura and all the kids to Moab for an overnight trip. We left on Friday around 3:00 and drove strait to there. We stayed at the Ramada (or should I say one of the dunmps in Moab). The great thing is the kids never care just as long as it is a hotel and they get to sllep in sleeping bags. Kids are easy to please. It was a great location though. Right across from the Diner with the best shakes in town. Then we had breakfast at the pancake Haus in the same parkign lot. The food was good but the service not so much. I asked for a diet drink and the server brought me a can of soda. Very old school I guess. The boys brought there dirt bikes so they could do a little riding in the morning. Then we decided to go into the park and do some sight seeing. It was really beautiful. The hug red rocks are just something to see for yourself. It is hard to describe how cool it really is.

We decided to go on a small 15 min. hike to see the delicate arch and ended up taking the 3 mile hike to it. We did not prepare very well and only had a little water for everyone to share. It was a beautiful day though and worth every minute. Anyone living in Utah who hasn't been to Moab is really missing out. On the way down the trail Craig took the older kids on a lizzard hunt. for any of you who don't know my husband that well, let me fill you in on what an amazing reptile catcher he is. He caught several Lizzards and the kids were in heaven. Andrew decided to name the best Lizzard INDIE (for Indiana jones.) Very cool and fun Trip.

Poor worn out Husband

I went on my weekly girls night on thursday night. I left about 5:00 p.m. and came home at 12:45 a.m. We went to a late movie. I walked in the door and saw that my T.V. was on (Oprah) down stairs and all the lights were on still and his computer was on in his lap. I saw my husband on the chair with his back towards me and I thought how sweet he stayed up for me. I said hey honey! No response. When I turned the corner this is what I saw

I guess my kids really wore him out this time. Plus he had taken his ambien. He just never made it upstairs. I just had to laugh and then help him into bed. Thank you for my girls night honey! I know how you feel!

My Non Girls Night Week

Oh what a week it has been. Busy, Busy everyday with no break from the kids. On normal weeks, my husband is so kind to let me go out with my sister in law Laura once during the week. It is usually on Tuesdays but this week my husband is on a trip with 9 friends he grew up with. So that means no girls night for me. So I am writing this post to remember the last 2 wonderful girls nights I had so I can appreciate when my husband is home and I can get out and have a break. I know I am spoiled.

A few weekends ago my sister in law Laura and my friend Hillary, invited me to an over night scrap booking retreat. I have been so behind on scrap booking so I was excited to go and attempt to catch up. Laura's neighbor has a little cabin up near Spanish fork canyon so a few of us went for an all night scrap booking marathon. It was so much fun. We started with dinner at Cafe Rio, and all time favorite dinner/lunch spot and then we drove up to the cabin. It was a beautiful drive because all the fall colors were beginning to turn. Once we got there we unloaded our stuff and got to work. I got 13 pages done and went to bed at just after 4 a.m. Yes I know I am silly for going to bed that late but I was on a roll. Anyway It was fabulous and we had a great time. Thanks girls for inviting me. I will post some pictures of the pages later but here are some of us at the cabin..

On our last girls night we went up to Park city for a little shopping at the outlets and dinner at Squatters. We found some surprises when we got to the outlets and Stride Rite was closing their store:( We got some great deals there. Also we found out that J Crew was a new store their:). One we ate dinner then we went to a movie. We saw It was so funny and I recommend it highly. This was a more common girls night we had. We usually shop eat late dinner and then see a late movie. It's usually Laura, her two sisters, Holly and Dianna and I. we are lucky to to be able to have such a fun tradition. Here are some pictures of our night (Dianna is missing on this girls night:(.)
